Vainqueur de la 4e et dernière étape, Kévin Vauquelin ouvre son compteur avec Netcompany INEOS et remporte le classement général du Tour des Abruzzes, succédant au palmarès à l’Allemand Georg Zimmermann. Le puncheur français s’impose avec 2 secondes d’avance sur un autre Tricolore, Mathys Rondel (Tudor). La 3e place finale revient à l’Italien Alessandro Fancellu (MBH Bank), délogé de la première place le dernier jour et relégué à 5 secondes de Vauquelin.
